Mitchell Poiset, DDS
Dr. Poiset has been setting the highest standard of excellence in pediatric dentistry for over 25 years! He earned his undergraduate degree from San Diego State University and his dental degree from the University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry before completing post-graduate certification in pediatric dentistry from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry’s Department of Growth and Development, and a pediatric dental residency at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. An esteemed member of the dental community, Dr. Poiset is a noted public lecturer, a published author, a senior staff member at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego, a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, an assistant clinical professor at the UCLA School of Dentistry, and an active member in many leading dental organizations, including the:

- American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
- California Society of Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Poiset enjoys giving back to his community as a mentor in Saint Augustine High School’s Professional Internship Program, a chief in the La Jolla Indian Guides, the President of La Jolla Youth Baseball, and as a Sunday school teacher at the La Jolla Presbyterian Church. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, yoga, physical fitness, travel, and spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their three children: Spencer, Sarah and Bennett.
Tracy Hagan, DMD
Dr. Tracy Hagan was born and raised in San Diego and attended the University of California, San Diego where she received a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Neuroscience. Dr. Hagan completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, where she received the Dean’s Honor scholarship for academics. As a dental student, Dr. Hagan was involved in a nonprofit dental group which provided care to children in third world countries. She traveled multiple times to Venezuela and Nicaragua treating children in need and educating families and medical clinics about oral health care and prevention. After graduation, Dr. Hagan began a dual residency in Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Hagan joined Dr. Poiset and Associates in 2005, where she currently provides both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics.
Dr. Hagan has been active as a board member for UCLA Alumni as well as the San Diego Association of Orthodontists. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, American Academy of Pediatric Dentists and the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Hagan spends her free time with her husband and two young children, Sydney and Liam.
Shay Brannan, DDS
Dr. Shay Brannan is a native of San Diego. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California where she graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Biology. Her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree was earned from the University of California, Los Angeles where she graduated from her dental program with honors and was among twelve graduating dental students invited to join Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the nation’s prestigious dental honor society. Following the completion of her doctorate degree in dentistry, she completed an Advanced General Dentistry residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center and returned to the University of California, Los Angeles for her Pediatric Dentistry specialty training.
Dr. Brannan is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a staff member of Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego, and an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the San Diego County Dental Society.
In her free time, Dr. Brannan enjoys spending time with her husband, Broc, a Naval officer, and their dog, Buddy.
Jodi McGrady, DMD
Dr. Jodi McGrady has been delivering quality dental care to her community for over 16 years. She earned her dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh before completing a General Practice Residency and Fellowship in hospital dentistry, as well as earning a master’s degree in public health, at the University of Iowa,. She received specialty post-graduate training in pediatric dentistry at UCLA. A valued member of the dental community, Dr. McGrady is a published author and an active member in many top dental organizations, such as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Special Care in Dentistry, the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the San Diego County Dental Society. When not in the office, Dr. McGrady enjoys volunteering at her kids’ school, running, cooking, and spending time with her family.
